Verve Arts Festival

About: The Verve Arts Festival is an annual one-day festival held at the Singapore Art House, showcasing 29 local performing and visual artists in Singapore, receiving 1,500 visitors and 12 sponsors. As a member of the publicity and visual arts team, I was responsible for marketing the festival on social media, coordinating with artists and managed gallery spaces.

Experience: My experience of organising and running Verve Arts Festival taught me the importance of managing working relationships and dynamics within the team and with external stakeholders while staying organised and juggling deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Department: Visual Arts Executive Team and Publicity Team.

Pre-Production – Seeking Sponsorships, Writing Contracts, contacting artists / artistes, catering, coffee, mini shops, programming, publicising and ticket sales.

Actual Event Day – Meeting VIPs and hosting crowd, Setting up, artist liaison, gallery sitter/guide, event coordinator and tear down. 

Post-Production – post-event analytics, emailing/thanking VIPs, post survey discussion and meetings.
